About me
I am a fully qualified experienced Psychotherapeutic Counsellor (UKCP registered) working face-to-face in private practice in Bristol BS3. I do online work and especially at this time.
How I started out !!!
I worked in 1989 for 8 years with HIV/AIDS with the Aled Richards Trust (which then became Terrence Higgins Trust) and in Social Services in the HIV project team as a support worker from 1989-1995 and then set up privately.
Over the last 30 years I have worked in depth with LGBTQ+ clients with a wide variey of isuues, family members, partners and friends.
I also work with people with life treatening illnesses and their partners/friends and families.
I am available to explore any of the following
- individuals
- couple work
- death and dying
-grief/bereavement
- transgender
- possible regrets of transitioning
- polyamory
- kink and BDSM
- non-binary and binary gender expression
- affairs ( finding a way forward as a result of the trauma)
- HIV/AIDS
I also work with heterosexual couples, individuals and family members, some of which has been finding ways to explore and work with their feelings towards LGBTQ issues in which their lives are affected.
In all my work we explore together to find a way forward. This could involve partners, and other family or non-family members, coming to sessions
I work from a non-judgemental and non-pathologizing stand point. I hold the belief that trans-identity and sexual orientation are naturally diverse.
