About me

I have a BA in law from The University of Copenhagen, with a special focus on discrimination, ethics and human rights. After getting my BA i went on to study a master of Psychology at The University of Copenhagen, still with an interest in discrimination, social structures, and human rights. I specialised in Clinical Psyhology and in Gender and Sexuality.
In my practice I see people of all gender identities, all sexual orientations and sexual practices and people from all cultures. I work with individuals and couples, with all relationship styles.

Heteroflexible - GenderQueer

Experience and approach

Specific experience and training:

I have worked as a clinical psychologist since 2011 in private practice. Before that i have worked with cancer patients and their relatives and with suicide prevention.
I am experienced in working with most issues, like anxiety, depression, stress, self esteem, identity, grieving and crisis. My specialisation in gender and sexuality means that i have an understanding of, how these conditions can look for people in diversity groups and that the source of suffering often comes from society.
My specialisation also means that I would never question gender identity and sexuality.
My aim is to create a non-toxic environment, where clients can freely reflect upon themselves and their lives, a norm critical therapeutic space.
I work with cognitive behavioral therapy, with an emphasis on acting as the reconstructive and changing force. Theoretically my reference is construktivist, queerfeministic and intersectional. Even though norms and structures in society affect us a great deal, I believe that our actions can affect the way we see our selves and our surroundings. In other words we can determine and have the possibility to redetermine who we are, and what is right for us.
I believe that each person has the solutions to their own problems why resources, possibilities and co-operation is important in therapy. Through that is is possible to gain agency and to know, feel and understand ourselves in interaction with others and in society.
