Terms and Conditions

Courses & Workshops

Fees: The full fee for each day per workshop is as listed and usually £120 per day or £110 for members of the Directory of Pink Therapists. Weekend workshops are £240 (£220 for Directory members). Occasionally we may offer workshops or events at a different fee. Our preference is that you book online via PayPal as that is built into our online booking system. In certain circumstances we will request payment through alternative methods either via Bank Transfer (BACS payment) or via cheques which should be made payable to Pink Therapy in GBP sterling. Payment must accompany all orders and we are not able to invoice you.

Receipts: You will receive a receipt from PayPal as well as your booking confirmation and details of the venue from us.

Cancellations: There is an administrative charge of £15.00 per person for cancellations received in writing up to one month prior to an event. Thereafter no refund is possible.

Indemnity: A booking constitutes a legally binding contract. It may be necessary, for reasons beyond the control of Pink Therapy, to change the programme, speaker, date or venue. In the unlikely event of a programme being cancelled, a full refund will be made but Pink Therapy disclaims any further liability.

To change a delegate, please call at least seven days prior to the event.

Pink Therapy reserves the right to amend, change or cancel workshops or trainers at its own discretion due to circumstances beyond our control.

We normally take a decision as to whether we have sufficient numbers to run an event six weeks prior to the event. If you are having to travel to London, we suggest you bear this in mind when making your travel and accommodation arrangements as we cannot be held liable for any costs incurred if we have to cancel an event. Course fees will of course be refunded.

Pink Therapy Directory Membership

The annual fee for membership of the Directory of Pink Therapists is £60.

The Directory is open to qualified therapists who take a non-pathologising stance to gender and sexual diversities.  If you are a counsellor, psychotherapist you need to be a member of BACP, UKCP or a Chartered Psychologist and thereby be obliged to practice under a rigourous code of ethics and subject to that organisations complaints procedure.  We also require therapists to have Professional Indemnity Insurance and evidence of this should be uploaded along with your therapy-specific qualifications.  We will not publish your insurance certificate onto the profile, but we need to see sight of it.

You need to be trained to at least Diploma level in Counselling (as recognised by BACP minimum 400 hours of training preferably in a core modality). We do not accept therapy qualifications gained by Distance Learning, and only accept formal and explicit training in counselling, psychotherapy or post graduate studies in psychology.  A teacher training, social work, nursing qualification or theology degree is not an adequate training in and of itself and so we will only 'approve' formal therapy qualifications at Diploma level or above in your profile.

Therapists are responsible for ensuring that qualifications, accreditations and insurance are current and valid.

If you are subject to a professional complaints investigation, please contact Dominic Davies (Director of Pink Therapy) to discuss what happens to your membership until the relevant professional body has resolved the matter.
