I’m American-trained with years of experience working with LGBTQ+ clients from diverse cultural backgrounds. I adapt how we work: I currently offer online session for flexibility, home visits (additional costs apply), or when the weather is better, I walk-and-talk appointment if that feels easier. Therapy with me isn’t about fixing who you are — it’s about removing what’s in the way of you living fully as yourself. It is more empowering and meaningful if you discover the answer yourself, but I will be there along the way to as a guide.

My name is Jack Pijl and I was born in The Netherlands. I’ve lived in London since 2002 where I was able to come out as a gay man. I converted my career to become a psychotherapist to predominantly work with gay men to help them with the particular struggles this client group has. A great book by Walt Odets, ‘Out of the Shadows: the psychology of gay men’s lives’, made a great impression on me personally and professionally. I have been able to help many of my clients to make meaning of their often difficult journeys and stories.

I’m Lou, a queer MNCPS Accredited therapist working with adults of all sexual and gender identities, and with both mainstream and more alternative lifestyles and beliefs. I have been working with LGBTQ+ clients for 13 years and have supported clients with a variety of issues, especially around identity and gaining deeper self-knowledge, around marginalisation and navigating life in a heteronormative capitalist society, and also on major life changes and emotional literacy. I have particular experience working with neurodivergence, supporting trans people through social and medical transition, chronic illness, and midlife & menopause.

I am a fully qualified Psychotherapeutic Counsellor and Clinical Supervisor and Accredited/Registered member of BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) and Prof/Accred member of NCS (National Counselling Society). I am also a member of EMDR Association UK. 

I am a Psychodynamic Psychotherapist and CBT Counsellor with training in Transpersonal Psychology and Therapeutic Group Facilitation. I am currently working towards a qualification in Psychedelics Assisted Psychotherapy. I believe we can heal from trauma. We have an innate healing intelligence, but things can get in the way of getting in touch with. I view therapy as a supportive, collaborative, creative process that creates the right environment for that innate healing intelligence to bring about emotional healing.
