My name is Jack Pijl and I was born in The Netherlands. I’ve lived in London since 2002 where I was able to come out as a gay man. I converted my career to become a psychotherapist to predominantly work with gay men to help them with the particular struggles this client group has. A great book by Walt Odets, ‘Out of the Shadows: the psychology of gay men’s lives’, made a great impression on me personally and professionally. I have been able to help many of my clients to make meaning of their often difficult journeys and stories.

I’m Lou Futcher, a passionate, experienced LGBTQ+ counsellor offering a holistic approach to self-knowledge, healing, and self development for gay, bi, and queer men, plus trans women and nonbinary folk. I have been working with LGBTQ+ people for 14 years offering judgement-free empathy and both therapeutic and life experience living as a queer person in a heteronormative society. I am currently working towards a qualification in Psychedelics Assisted Psychotherapy. I believe we can heal from trauma. I view therapy as a supportive, collaborative, creative process that creates the right environment for that innate healing intelligence to bring about emotional healing.
