Welcome – I am Senior Accredited Trauma Informed Counsellor/Therapist and  EMDR Europe Practitioner.   I have 15 years experience of offering affirming therapy to the individuals and couples from the LGBTQIA+ community and look forward to supporting you. What I hope to offer you is an approach which I want to be warm and refreshing and can really get to the heart of your issues.

My name is Jack Pijl and I was born in The Netherlands. I’ve lived in London since 2002 where I was able to come out as a gay man. I converted my career to become a psychotherapist to predominantly work with gay men to help them with the particular struggles this client group has. A great book by Walt Odets, ‘Out of the Shadows: the psychology of gay men’s lives’, made a great impression on me personally and professionally. I have been able to help many of my clients to make meaning of their often difficult journeys and stories.

I’m Lou, a queer MNCPS Accredited therapist working with adults of all sexual and gender identities, and with both mainstream and more alternative lifestyles and beliefs. I have been working with LGBTQ+ clients for 13 years and have supported clients with a variety of issues, especially around identity and gaining deeper self-knowledge, around marginalisation and navigating life in a heteronormative capitalist society, and also on major life changes and emotional literacy. I have particular experience working with neurodivergence, supporting trans people through social and medical transition, chronic illness, and midlife & menopause.

I am a fully qualified Psychotherapeutic Counsellor and Clinical Supervisor and Accredited/Registered member of BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) and Prof/Accred member of NCS (National Counselling Society). I am also a member of EMDR Association UK. 

I am a Psychodynamic Psychotherapist and CBT Counsellor with training in Transpersonal Psychology and Therapeutic Group Facilitation. I am currently working towards a qualification in Psychedelics Assisted Psychotherapy. I believe we can heal from trauma. We have an innate healing intelligence, but things can get in the way of getting in touch with. I view therapy as a supportive, collaborative, creative process that creates the right environment for that innate healing intelligence to bring about emotional healing. In the therapy process you can rediscover inner resources and strengths, overcome depression and resolve anxiety. I practise in: Bloomsbury – 29 Museum

As an Integrative Psychotherapist and Counsellor I have worked in a variety of settings, including the charity sector, providing a confidential, non-judgmental space for clients to discuss the difficulties that arise in their lives.

I have experience, training and knowledge about LGBTQIA+, kink/BDSM, polyamory / non-monogamy, neurodiversity and other variations in gender, sexuality and relationships. Generally this is only context, but given the societal lack of understanding and oppression, legal and otherwise, diversity or uniqueness often come up. I work with individuals, couples and larger intimately related groups. Specialisations: relationships; trauma and dissociation; ways in which the body-mind expresses itself somatically; cultural differences. I have forensic experience. I am deeply non-judgemental about “criminal” records, “offences” and accusations. Sex work is work; sex workers are most welcome.

Hi, I’ve been a therapist for over 12 years and am passionate about the wellbeing of LGBTQIA+ people. I am a BACP (senior accredited) and Pink Therapy advanced accredited psychotherapist working with adults and young people  around gender, sexuality and relationship diversity (e.g. ENM, poly/polyam).
