Hello, my name’s Guy and I’m a therapist. I’m Naomi. I identify as part of the LGBTQIA + community and use she/they pronouns. I trained as a therapist in Melbourne, Australia. Themes I have trained in and work with include grief, anxiety, depression, alcohol & drugs, cross-culture counselling, neurodiversity, trauma, family and relationships. Before becoming a therapist, I worked in the food industry as a start-up founder and then as a marketing and branding manager and consultant for other start-ups. I have also written a cookbook.Â
Good for you that you are seeking psychotherapy and taking time to find the right therapist for your needs. If we choose to work together this would usually be in sessions of 75 – 90 minutes which aligns with the natural brain cycles of human processing of healing and learning. These sessions are therefore longer than the traditional 50 minutes and often clients therefore need fewer sessions to start to bring real changes into their lives and experience of being in the world. My therapeutic training was at City and Guildhall Universities and at the Metanoia Institute. I worked in the NHS for 25 years as an advisor and highly specialist psychotherapist in sexual health and HIV medicine. Having recently left the NHS, I now concentrate on my private practice and lecturing in psychotherapy in central London.
