Experience and approach:
I am a counsellor with over 12 years experience and having worked in the voluntary sector for five years I was employed by the charity Mental Health Aberdeen (MHA) where I saw both individuals and couples. In my private practice I worked with both individuals and couples.
My approach is humanistic/person-centred, and I draw from attachment theory (Bowlby), trauma theory (Mate, Levine, Fisher). The sessions are always client led and I warmly invite clients to explore their difficulties at their own pace in safe, warm and non-judgmental environment.
