About the Therapist
Growing up in rural North Wales, I understand how difficult it can be to access therapeutic support that is both knowledgeable and supportive for LGBTQ+ people. As a queer man, I recognise the challenges clients may face in finding a "good fit", where clients need not worry about judgement or fear that their therapist may lack insight into their lives and culture. I also recognise people have different experiences of masculinity, and aim to offer a healthy and inclusive space where authenticity is celebrated - as such, I particularly welcome working with trans men and trans masculine folks.

I have a postgraduate qualification in Person Centred counselling and Psychotherapy, accredited from Stirling University. I am a registered member of the BACP as shown here.
I have completed the Relate Certificate in Relationship Counselling. I am a student member of COSRT as shown here (please search my name). I have completed the taught elements of the Relate Certificate in Psychosexual Therapy and can practice as a student member - I will obtain the qualification upon completion of the required practice hours. I am currently undertaking the Diploma of Integrative Supervision with The Grove (expected completion date 04/23). I am a professional member of ACTO as shown here.
I aim to offer a supportive, affirmative therapeutic environment where clients can explore and expand their self-knowledge in a relaxed manner. I stand firmly again conversion therapy in all its forms. Coming from a person-centred background, I work non-directively to help clients realise their own truth, on their own terms and in their own time. I work online in an open-ended manner and work on a weekly-slot basis. I also offer GSRD-informed supervision to counsellors, using the Hawkins & Shohet model.

In recognition of the particular difficulties many Trans people experience in finding suitable therapy, I offer a limited number of online therapy sessions to Trans people at a reduced rate. These sessions are only available in my earlier slots (between 2.30pm and 4.30pm), although Trans clients are very welcome to book in any other slot at the regular price.
Please note: these sessions are specifically for Trans people who may otherwise struggle to afford therapy - and may often include those in the process of acquiring a Gender Recognition Certificate.
Please also note: when working with couples I will require some individual sessions as part of the assessment process, and this will be outlined in the Introductory Session.
