Mel McGrath - Kings Cross/Angel/Old Street
About the Therapist
My name is Mel and I am an experienced therapist trained in psychosynthesis and integrative psychotherapy, which means I work with people to help them understand more about their life and how to manage difficult feelings and experience.  I work in lovely rooms in comfortable buildings in Angel, Old Street, Kings Cross and London Bridge. London Bridge is accessible with a lift, but Kings Cross is not unfortunately. I take our work seriously and hope to offer a safe space for you to talk to me without fear of judgment around whatever you bring in to the room. I work in person and please note I work weekly with new clients. Â

Integrative Psychotherapy with Mel
You may have experienced trauma, have anxiety, be struggling with more existential questions about the climate or the future, whatever it is you bring to the room I will do my best to hold space for you to explore it all. I work with a wide range of clients from all backgrounds and identify as a queer person (she/they) and have strong experience working within the LGBTQIA+ community, really understanding what it is like to feel othered within society. This is not where my experience only lies as I also work with grief, anxiety, depression, childhood trauma, amongst a wider range of experience, but I welcome enquiries from all. In working with me I will look to encourage you to be present, consider how your past experiences have influenced and impacted you, but also to consider how to accept and care for all parts of yourself.  The key thing is that I work relationally and so this means that our work has meaning and I take great care to ensure you will feel safe and heard when we work together whilst maintaining a place of no judgment. All our work is confidential and I adhere to the BACP Ethical Guidelines. If you would like more information please do get in touch!
