About the Therapist
Counselling is for many things. Often counsellors work with people in crisis just as much as we work with people who feel stuck, or need a private space to unpack whatever is going on to make sense of it. How often do we sit with something and we are unsure of how we feel about it? Or are we feeling that something just isn't right, but can't work out why?
Working with a therapist can help, whatever the reason you are seeking therapy.
Finding the right therapist is key. In my practice I hope to give my clients a voice, so that they are heard. In order to acheive this I believe in creating a therapeutic bond with my clients, allowing them to feel safe and held.
My role is to hold that space, to hold your words, to be with you as you explore and/or unpack what is going on. I may reflect back what is said so you actually hear yourself, I may point out patterns to you, or challenge your avoidance and defence mechanisms so you can get to root of what's going on for you.
The goal is for you to find the authentic, congruent, true version of yourself. I have witnessed immense growth in my clients, and that usually culminates in you feeling more comfortable with who you are, feeliong happier and lighter in yourself, maybe even accepting yourself.
As a member of the queer and neurodivergent communities, I have hands on experience of what it's like to be different. I don't assume that we're the same, but there's a common language that we speak.

I work in a humanistic, person centred way, as well as being trained in Psychosexual and couples work. This allows you to have autonomy and safety in what you bring to me. You may need gentle curiosity and enquiry, or you may feel a stronger exploration of your world is necessary.
I work with a broad range of clients, from those wanting a space to talk, to those exploring something more personal, to couples who want to work on their communication. I am well versed working with neurodiversity, sexuality, gender, sex, and am positive and advocate in all these areas.
Working with depression, burnout, anxiety, and the struggles of day to day life are core to my practice. No challenge or issue you have is too small or insignificant for me to care about.
Please make use of my initial chat, via zoom, so we can have a chat and see if were are a good match to work together.
I either work from my therapy space in St Mellons, or online. There is ample parking and privacy here.
