About the Therapist
At times we can all experience life situations and events that feel very overwhelming. It may create feelings of anger, stress, being unable to cope with everyday situations, feelings of sadness, of being low, frustration or powerlessness. Sometimes it may be hard to find someone to talk to who will understand and appreciate what it is that you may be experiencing. At times it may just be too hard to work out what is going on for you. Counselling can be a real opportunity to explore not only the current issues and what is bringing you but also to look at the root causes of your difficulties and to work with any patterns and behaviours that may be unhelpful. As a Psychodynamic Counsellor my aim is to firstly provide a warm, friendly, confidential and professional environment in which you can explore the issues that you feel need addressing. We will look at the underlying issues that are causing these difficulties and work towards change and self discovery. My practice is purely based on Online Therapy, offering both short term and long term counselling for both individuals and couples. Online Therapy has many benefits in that it allows you to be in your own space for the therapy sessions to happen, thus taking away some of the anxiety that can exist when in a face to face setting, also doesn't require you travel and the therapy can be either via video, instant chat messages or email, giving a greater opportunity to explore what is going on for you. I am fully insured and am a member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) abiding by their ethical framework and guidelines. I am also an Accredited Counsellor with the National Counselling Society (NCS) and a member of the Association for Counselling & Therapy Online (ACTO)Â . All my work is fully supervised and I am professionally insured. I also regularly attend continuous professional development training opportunities
