Coaching for adults with ADHD can be really helpful.
It's not only about accountability - although that's a (very small) part of it .
Coaching sessions with me are mostly about having someone immerse themselves into your life and figure stuff out with you in the session (body-doubling with you on 'working out your life').
We can work through getting you better ways that genuinely work for you and your unique set up and challenges.
With me you'll get a proper in-depth exploration of how and why each 'thing' is not under control or is out of your grasp. I promise you that you won't simply receive a set of off-the-peg executive functioning solutions as if that is all it is going to take to make everything easy and done. Instead, we figure out exactly how new ways can be utilised and we set up realistic ways to bring them into the life you already live and the activities that you already do. Or, we modify ways that already make sense to you, but that aren't quite sticking or otherwise working out.Â
We can look at multiple areas of your life, and have several tracks going concurrently. We do not need to limit ourselves to following one same thing week after week. The main thing is that what we talk about and the insights and solutions we find, are relevant to what you feel is upfront for you at any moment and that you are already feeling engaged with these things or concerned about them - or that they are areas that have pressing deadlines or are on your mind due to worrying consequences of not sorting them out.
So, there's that.
Additionally, there are relationships. Specifically how you feel about yourself in terms of being an imposter, or being rejected/criticised, or of keeping relationships going.
There's no limit to what aspects we can discuss related to these areas. If iany aspect is causing you pain, angst, embarrassment, disappointment or is having any other types of costs, then it's well worth us looking into and resolving the issues.Â
If there is anything related to ADHD that hasn't been said here and you'd like to check whether that is the kind of work that I do or the kind of things that I can help you with, please contact me and ask me.
