I'm Mike (he/him), an LGBTQIA+ affirmative counsellor and psychotherapist based in Grove Park, Lewisham, South East London.

I work predominantly with LGBTQIA+ adult clients in-person, online, and via telephone, and offer a safe, confidential, and non-judgemental space.

I am also a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), working in accordance with their ethical framework.

Continuing with my counselling studies, post-qualification, I completed a full-time Master’s course with Bath Spa University, which supported the further development of my knowledge and skills in relation to my work with LGBTQIA+ clients.

Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling

I completed four years of counselling training at The Bedfordshire Centre for Therapeutic Studies, where I achieved the following qualifications:

Experience and approach:

I am an integrative counsellor and psychotherapist, which means that I work with a variety of therapeutic approaches and methods, and combine them to suit the needs of each individual client.

I firmly believe that the therapeutic relationship and a safe, supportive environment are fundamental for successful therapy as they help clients to open up and explore their concerns.

I work with a wide range of clients with a variety of presenting issues, such as anxiety, depression, bereavement, family conflict, and relationship issues. As an LGBTQIA+ affirmative therapist, I also work with many LGBTQIA+ clients, some of whom come to therapy to explore issues relating to sexuality and gender.

Each therapy session costs £60 and lasts for fifty minutes. Fees are payable on a session by session basis. Before meeting for our first session, I offer a free 20-minute initial consultation over the phone or via Zoom, which allows you to ask any questions and for us to talk about how we might work together. After the initial consultation, I offer weekly or fortnightly sessions on an open-ended basis.
