Bay De Veen
About the Therapist
My approach is grounded in humanistic, relational therapy and shaped by an animist understanding of a living, interconnected world. My work is informed by queer and non‑normative ways of being that challenge narrow ideas of “normal” and honour diverse embodiments and identities. Whether we meet online or by telephone, I offer a grounded, spacious, collaborative space where your sensitivities, values, and ways of relating to the world are taken seriously and worked with respectfully.

I qualified as a therapist in 2012 with LC&CTA, a college based in Deptford that has a really diverse intake of students, challenging the often white supremacist flavour of many therapy courses. I continue to courses in a wide variety of subjects to expand my knowledge understanding and experience.
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, and my BACP listing can be viewed here:

I bring over 13 years of therapeutic experience, including extensive work with GSRD communities and many years in the women’s sector supporting people affected by abuse, intimate partner violence, coercive control, and addiction. My practice is humanistic, relational, and informed by an animist understanding of distress as something shaped within living systems — bodies, relationships, histories, and environments. I work holistically with experiences such as anxiety, depression, burnout, and compassion fatigue, offering grounded, collaborative support that honours each person’s ways of knowing and being.

My fee for therapy is £75 (50 mins) and I offer concessions where I can. I also offer supervision at £80 for an hour.
I don't offer free consultations, but initial consultations should help orient you to what happens next, even if you decide not to go further with therapy.
