About the Therapist
I am a qualified counsellor and psychotherapist working in a person-centred way. A lot of my work is focused on LGBTQIA+, GSRD and disability issues. This means that no session is approached with a set agenda. The session shall be guided by what you would like to discuss. My role is to metaphorically walk alongside you as a gentle guide.
I aim to provide an empathic, sincere and warm space for you to explore your emotions, find your voice and develop an understanding of what may be going on for you. At first it can feel uncomfortable opening up to a stranger about your inner thoughts and feelings. Hopefully, exploring things with someone who's sole purpose is to be non-judgemental and accepting can be a welcome relief once you find your feet in the space and therapeutic relationship.
Where to go from here: Choosing a counsellor is an enormous task, often overwhelming. Finding someone you are comfortable to be able to sit down and discuss how you are feeling can be difficult. At first it can feel uncomfortable opening up to a stranger about your inner thoughts and feelings. Hopefully, exploring things with someone who's sole purpose is to be non-judgemental and accepting can be a welcome relief once you find your feet in the space and therapeutic relationship.Â
This is why I offer an initial chat on the phone, for free, so that you do not have to commit to anything straight away. We can go over what you are looking for from therapy; and it is also a chance for you to gauge whether you would feel comfortable working with me.

A lot of the work that I have done has been focused on LGBTQIA+, gender and disability issues. As well as this I have worked alongside clients who were experiencing anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts/feelings, grief and other themes.
