Mamta Ward
About the Therapist
I started counselling to help people through difficult points in their lives and the more I worked the more I recognised the value of being supported in this way, especially at points where it can feel very lonely to be where you are. Life coaching was a natural progression, as it is a lot easier to achieve your life goals with someone who knows you therapeutically and knows what your blocks may be.
For individuals I work with various aspects of identity as these are integral in helping you understand who you are and how you can get to where you want to be. We can look at how cultural and sexual values may be causing blocks to your well-being and help you heal from the past and move forward in a way that works best for you.
For couples I can support your relationship in periods of difficulty, opening lines of communication navigating how you work together, helping you move towards a stronger bond and the type of relationship you want.

It can feel difficult to start with counselling, so let me start by saying the work we do will be guided by your own choices and needs. You can express these in a confidential space of emotional safety and we can explore what is happening for you and better understand it. Together we can define and move towards your goals at a pace that suits and feels safe to you. I work in a way that is affirming and non-judgemental to navigate the questions, conflicts and challenges that come up for you.
I am an integrative therapist and life coach, able to choose and work in the modality best suited to you and your needs. It may be that we use a range of techniques depending on the different concerns we are dealing with. This is always done with your emotional safety at the heart of the process with respect for your autonomy and individuality.
I have specialist qualifications in couples counselling, working with autism, working in the LGBTQ+ community and working with race and culture.
I am also a qualified psychosexual therapist and can use this knowledge and experience to guide our work in a sex positive and kink friendly way.
