About the Therapist
I specialise in working with the LGBTQ+ community, including individuals experiencing or considering gender transition. My other areas of specialisation include drug and alcohol misuse, depression, anxiety, parenting concerns, relationship issues, and trauma, including complex and inter-generational trauma.
- Heterosexual
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California (Registration IMF 84320), as well as a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (ID# 00956447).
I have been practicing psychotherapy for over ten years and have been licensed in the USA since 2013. During my career, I have worked with substance abusers, people on probation and parole, school-aged children and their families, and members of the LGBTQ+ community. I have also served as the Clinic Manager for the Dore Urgent Care Clinic in San Francisco, California, where I helped people stabilise from psychiatric crises.
My experience has included working with people from a wide range of cultural and ethnic backgrounds, of differing ages, income levels, religions, and gender identities. My approach is to always operate from a position of respect and admiration for the ways in which the people I work with are different from me.

I work primarily in a Narrative framework, helping people understand the ways in which the stories they tell about themselves define their experience, and guiding them through the process of creating new stories for themselves that open up new possibilities. I'm also familiar with CBT and Solution-Focused techniques.
If you're looking for support as you try to make changes in your life, then I'd be happy to be a part of that process, helping YOU make YOUR life story turn out the way YOU want it to be.
