Thomas Atkin MNCPS (Acc.).
About the Therapist
I have worked with many unique individuals and pride myself on an approach that caters towards their needs. Whether those needs are regarding your mental health, or just a greater sense of self, I welcome the opportunity to talk through whatever you bring into the therapeutic environment. I specialise in family issues, relationships, anxiety, LGBTQ+, and low self-esteem.Â
My training has provided me with a strong foundation in the Person Centred Approach, however, I am also qualified in CBT if that is something you would prefer. I often take a more directive approach with the individuals I work with.Â
Talking therapy is built on a strong foundation of trust and confidentiality, so I offer a space where there will be no judgement and you are safe to explore feelings and thoughts, whilst also gaining a greater understanding of self.Â
Reaching out for any kind of support can be daunting, and I appreciate you taking the time to do this by reading through my profile. If there are any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.Â

I have worked with many diverse clients during my time within placement and private practice and there is very little that will come as a surprise for me. I offer a non-judgmental space for anybody interested in beginning their therapeutic journey with me, and I encourage lots of exploration around your emotional triggers, as well as how your past has influenced your present.
For any new clients, I like to understand their history for me to get a better sense of you as an individual, so my approach will differ to meet your needs. Like with all therapy, my approach is in constant motion, so whatever you bring to the room, we can explore together and at your pace.
