Jamieson Little, Family & Systemic Psychotherapist
About the Therapist
I have created this Pink Therapy Directory listing in order to make a clear commitment to all the individuals, couples and families that approach me for therapy, that my approach is affirming and accepting of the LGBTQ+ communities and the issues they face. Whilst I am also a member of this community I acknowledge that I continue to learn and develop my practice to support these communities more effectively. I am a White cisgendered male who identifies as gay. I see myself as European, English with strong working-class London roots.

I qualified as a Family & Systemic Psychotherapist from the Institute of Family Therapy in November 2014. The qualifying clinical training is a postgraduate MSc which takes a total of four years. In 2021, I completed further training at the University of Exeter to become an Approved Systemic Supervisor.
I’ve had a very varied career working in a range of contexts and roles supporting people through many different life challenges and difficulties. I started out as a youth and community worker setting up a lesbian, gay and bisexual youth group back in 1994. I then went on to become a social worker working with children and families in several London local authorities.
First and foremost I see my approach to therapy staring with creating a relaxed, welcoming and understanding space where I can get to know you, begin to understand your perspective on your dilemmas and life, with the purpose of supporting the meaningful change you are hoping to create/achieve. This normally starts with an initial call (by telephone or video) which can help you decide whether I offer the right fit before booking an initial session. My primary modality of psychotherapy is systemic however I draw on a number of different approaches (EFT, NVR, IFS and CBT) that I have developed and integrated into my practice as a therapist. I believe that therapy can never be a one-size fits all approach and will adapt to fit the needs and style of the family, couple or individual I work with.
