About the Therapist
Alongside holding a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling, I'm a qualified Yoga Teacher and have over twelve years experience working in supportive roles with families around pregnancy, birth and the early years. This includes mental health support, birth trauma and pregnancy/baby loss. Whilst part of my working life is focused around perinatal (around birth) and mothering/parenting support, I offer counselling to people of all genders around a wide range of issues. I have an undergraduate degree in Sustainability and previously worked in Australia and the UK in community engagement roles supporting groups to work towards environmental responsibility and community cohesion.

I work primarily from a relational perspective, which means that I believe that the most powerful and long lasting change comes from finding our own wisdom and answers, especially in the context of a safe and reliable relationship. As the counsellor, I use my professional knowledge and experience to guide and facilitate the sessions, but ultimately we work as a team so you can find your way through the aspects of your self and life that need tending to. All my work comes from a trauma informed perspective and a body positive/body liberation stance. Undertaking counselling can sometimes feel daunting but I will help you to feel as comfortable as possible so you can explore whatever you need to in your sessions.
