Zuzi Feltham
About the Therapist
Welcome, I'm Zuzi, a qualified Géstalt therapist with ten years of experience in both the charity sector working with survivors of interpersonal trauma and in social justice movements as an activist and community organiser. These threads of experience combine to create a therapeutic practice that is trauma informed, queer affirming and anti oppressive. My style is warm, non judgmental and creative. I will be curious about you - from your inner world, to your relationships and the structures that surround you. My intention is that my curiosity will inspire you to also be curious and less judgmental towards yourself. Maybe you have a loud critical voice in your head? Or you are repeating patterns when you desire change? You might have been hurt by people close to you, or, you feel lost and alone and unsure of where your distress stems from. I work with the belief that you have the answers you need within you and I see my role as supporting you with the space and tools to find your way back to your inner wisdom, self belief and joy.
I am BACP registered and I specialise in working with people who have experienced interpersonal and developmental trauma (i.e relationship and familial abuse) and those with minoritised gender, sexuality and relationship orientations (including young people). I am kink and sex worker aware & friendly. I offer online counselling as well as sessions in nature and a mixture of both formats. Regular length sessions (50 minutes) can take place in Hackney and extended sessions can take place in different nature spots in and around London. Finding a therapist can be overwhelming (and expensive!) and so I offer a 30-minute free consultation to see if we are a good fit. I also offer sliding scale spaces to ensure my practice is accessible.
Alongside my individual therapy work, I am also a group work facilitator, a gender-based violence consultant and trainer and social justice activist. This means that I am committed to feminist and anti-racist practice, from the therapy room to society at large. I facilitate group spaces for people who have experienced abuse to connect and grow collectively, and group spaces for folks who want to explore and enhance sex, intimacy and relationship wellbeing. I also provide consultation and training to individuals, groups and organisations on gender-based violence prevention which includes, but is not limited to; supporting survivors of violence and abuse, trauma-informed practice and sex and relationships education. All of my work is interdependent and each part informs another, which means my approach is dynamic, holistic and intersectional.

My approach to working therapeutically with clients is holistic, which means I will be curious about your whole life; from your inner world, to the people that surround you and the structures you exist in. This approach is rooted in my belief that our safety and wellbeing is impacted by experiences within all of these levels, and so effective therapy will support you to navigate your experiences psychologically, relationally and structurally.
For 10 years I have worked with survivors of interpersonal trauma (e.g rape, sexual abuse and coercive control) to understand and transform their experiences of abuse. I am committed to anti-oppressive practice that centers safety, choice and equity in the therapeutic relationship, as I believe these are the conditions that enable people to be brave and vulnerable in therapy and, with that, to grow.
I am trained in Gestalt and Humanistic therapies, though I am not confined to these models, as how I work will be shaped by your needs and what emerges between us. Together we will create a relaxed, non judgmental and explorative space to uncover what is affecting you, develop your understanding of yourself and allow space for growth. For example, one session might involve me supporting you to clarify your thoughts and make links in your experiences, another might be more playful and experimental – eg using movement, mindfulness and creative activities to explore the sensations in your body. Sometimes I will challenge you and support you to move out of your comfort zone. You will always have a choice in sessions and be met with respect, care, and warmth.

I offer a free 30-minute consultation which is an opportunity for you to ask questions and to see if we are a good fit. Please email me on therapywithzuzi@gmail.com and I will get back to you as soon as possible with some appointment times.
50 minute sessions range from £40-80 (depending on income and circumstances).
For those who can, I request you pay £80 per session as this enables me to provide low cost slots. These spots are intended for those who are low/no income and who are also migrants, black, trans, disabled, single parents etc. This is a small step towards redressing the deep access inequity that exists when seeking healthcare for marginalized folks. Regardless of which rate you pay, I do not ask for proof as I trust folks to pay what they can.
