Milo Nass (Online)
About the Therapist
Hi! I am Milo and I'm a queer, trans nonbinary, neurodivergent individual. I am a relational counsellor with experience in working with LGBTQ+, neurodivergent, kinky and non-monogamous clients and understand the importance of an affirming space in which you don't feel like you have to justify yourself or educate your counsellor on your identity or community. While I am human and will not be able to know everything, I am working constantly to learn more. My goal is to create an anti-oppressive space for anyone regardless of their identities or lived experiences. There is no right or wrong reason to come to counselling. Everyone is unique and has different needs when it comes to counselling. My values are inclusive and I adjust my approach based on your needs. I am also happy to make accommodations and figure out what works best for us. Whether you are looking for a few counselling sessions or something long-term, you will find a welcoming and affirming space with me. No matter why you are looking for counselling, I want to provide a safe environment in which you can bring all parts of yourself and ensure you feel heard, understood and supported. Counselling is a space to explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences and help you make sense of them. I believe that it is important to find a counsellor that feels right for you. If you feel like we could be a good fit, please reach out and we can book in a first session. First sessions are full length at a reduced cost (£25), to give us a chance to see if we want to work together.

My Approach
I am an integrative counsellor, meaning I use different approaches when it comes to working with clients. I am person-centred at my core, which means that I believe you know yourself best and I am here to be by your side and create a nurturing space for you to explore whatever feels important at your own pace. In our sessions, you do not have to worry about judgement Overall, I would describe myself as a relational counsellor, which means, I believe the relationship between counsellor and client are at the heart of the therapeutic work, and I understand the impact relationships can have. I am committed to building genuine and meaningful connections with each of my clients. I believe trust is the basis to any therapeutic relationship. That is why I will always be honest, authentic and address our dynamic with immediacy. While I do sometimes offer challenges, I do this in a gentle way and welcome challenges from you as well. When it is appropriate, I will also rely on parts of other theories, such as psychodynamic or creative approaches, to help me understand you better and give us a different perspective of what is going on for you. Â
My Experience
I have experience working with GSRD and neurodivergent individuals. GSRD includes anyone whose gender, sexuality or relationship identities or experiences are outside the societal majority. (e.g. LGBTQ+, BDSM, kink, non-monogamy, etc.) I believe that my own lived experience helps me connect on a more personal level and approach topics such as gender, sexuality, non-normative relationships with sensitivity and empathy. I approach diversity in an intersectional way and understand that while some experiences might seem the same, underneath they are all unique. I want to understand what it is like to be you and am committed to creating a validating environment. When it comes to neurodivergence, I have worked with people who are autistic, ADHD, bipolar, etc. and understand the importance of offering sessions tailored to each client's individual needs. More generally, I have worked with clients, who have experienced or are experiencing anxiety, depression, family issues, relationship issues, issues around identity, trauma, abuse, etc.  If you have any questions, feel free to message me.
