Anne Marie (they/them): In-person (London Bridge) Psychotherapy
About the Therapist
Hello and welcome, I am a qualified psychodynamic psychotherapist and Individual Member of BACP working in London with adolescents and adults. Being psychodynamic means my practice draws upon psychoanalytic approaches and centres co-constructing a healing therapeutic relationship. A core belief guiding my work is that the quality of our past and present relationships significantly impacts our well-being and sense of self. I bring warmth and integrity to my role, alongside a friendly disposition as a Californian. I aim to de-mystify the process through which I support my clients to engage with what is drawing them towards change and creating something different for themselves.

Over the past 15 years, I gained academic and professional experience in psychology, child development and social justice. I enjoy, and find it most transformative, to regard those I work with as unique individuals first and foremost. Working with people of diverse backgrounds and life experiences, I also consider the ways in which our environment affects us. I am attentive to the influences of class, racialisation, disability, migration, gender, sexuality and transgenerational experiences.
My own experience of the difference psychotherapy made to my own life led me to train as a psychotherapist. Believing therapeutic support should be accessible to all, outside my private practice I work as a counsellor at a free LGBTQ+ mental health service where I support clients with diverse gender, sexual, and relationship experiences.

Initial Consultation - To ease the start of the process I offer a 50 minute session at a reduced fee. This is so that together we have the time and opportunity for you to decide if I'm the right therapist for you. The fee for this sessions is £50.
Standard Sessions - I see clients in person in London Bridge (SE1 1GD) for weekly 50 minute sessions. This space offers a calm and relaxing environment. My fee for in-person sessions is £80-100. This sliding scale offers the opportunity for those who can afford to pay more to do so, which means I can offer free therapy to LGBTQ+ youth. Regarding rate of pay, I do not ask for proof as I trust folks to pay what they can.
