Rosie Cava-Beale
About the Therapist
Hi, I’m Rosie (she/her), a Brighton-based therapist offering in-person and online sessions. I work within the Humanistic tradition, grounded in Existential-Phenomenological therapy. That means I’m interested in your lived experience—how you make sense of the world, your relationships, and yourself.
You might be facing a particular challenge, feeling lost, or simply wanting space to reflect. Whatever brings you to therapy, I offer a warm, collaborative, and supportive space where you can show up just as you are. I work relationally, seeing our connection as central to the process. Together, we can explore what matters to you, gently uncovering meaning, patterns, and possibilities for change or acceptance.
I welcome the full range of your experience, including the complexities of identity, culture, and belonging. I’m mixed-race myself and hold an intersectional lens in my work, attuned to how systems of race, gender, class, sexuality, disability, and neurodivergence shape how we experience ourselves and the world.
To me, therapy is a political act. Creating space for voice, choice, and agency is radical in a world that often silences. I aim to support you in reconnecting with your own sense of freedom, meaning, and self-understanding.
Alongside my private practice, I’ve worked in the charity sector supporting minoritised communities, including people from refugee backgrounds and, as a volunteer therapist, with trans-inclusive women experiencing hardship.
Whoever you are, and whatever you bring, you are welcome here.

I believe therapy should be for everyone, and that everyone has something they can gain from being seen and heard by an attentive other.
Therapy does not happen in a vacuum. It takes place in a world shaped by systems of power, oppression, and inequality. Within that context, I view therapy as a political act. Creating space for voice, choice, and agency is inherently radical in a world that often silences or marginalises. My role is to accompany you as you navigate your own experience of the world, and to hold at the core of this exploration the themes of choice, responsibility, and freedom.
