About the Therapist
I've previously worked for a national charity providing brief emotional support via phone and email to adult survivors of childhood abuse.
I began offering therapy in 2022 in a low-cost therapy service as part of my clinical training and now work in private practice.
As part of my continuing professional development I'm working towards accreditation as a full clinical member of the UKCP.
I can work with you in an affirming and respectful way to explore issues related to your sense of identity and how you relate to yourself and others.
I work in-person in West Didsbury, Manchester and online via Zoom.

I appreciate that taking the step to speak with someone, whether you have done this before or this is your first time, can feel both daunting and empowering. You're going through something at the moment, have thought a lot about it and are looking for someone who feels like the right fit to work with you in moving forward.
I draw on Transactional Analysis and take an Integrative perspective in my practice. What this involves is working with you to look at and accept all the different parts of your experience and explore the familiar roles or patterns that may be repeating in parts of your life. In your sessions, I can work with you to live more in the present, increase your choices and create something new.
In sessions you might explore what messages you received from others, what beliefs you formed, the decisions you made, and the direction things are heading. I can also work with you to look at what all this means for you in the here and now and how you might create new experiences and do something different to take your life in a new direction.

I offer a free 20-minute introductory phone call before booking.
£55 per 50 minute session.
I may be able to offer some reduced rates - please contact me to discuss.
I ask for 24 hours' notice to cancel a booked session.
Payments can be made by bank transfer prior to the session.
Online sessions:I offer online sessions, via Zoom, most weekdays during the daytime and early evening.
In-person sessions: I work Monday mornings and Friday afternoons, in-person from The Didsbury Counselling and Therapy Centre in West Didsbury, M20 2LW.
Tram and bus routes are nearby and there is limited parking on surrounding roads.
Please note the centre is located on the 1st and 2nd floors accessed via stairs, there is no lift or waiting room.
