Who am I

• I’m PuiSum (He/They), a POC transmasc counsellor. I understand the importance of having a space where you feel truly seen and understood.
• My goal is to offer a culturally sensitive and affirmative environment where you can explore your inner world and your relationships with yourself and others. Together, we can work towards creating a more fulfilling life.
• I work with adults (aged 18 and over) and offer sessions in English and Cantonese.
• My practice is built on an intersectional and anti-oppressive approach, acknowledging the systemic oppression that marginalised communities often face.
• I also offer a gender-affirming, ethical non-monogamy/polyamory-affirming, sex- and kink-positive space.
• I have experience offering short-term counselling sessions in LGBT+ charities such as Spectra and Elop.
• Before becoming a counsellor, I worked in Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion. This background gives me a deep understanding of issues like burnout and minority stress.

How I Work

• Free Consultation: I offer a free, 30-minute online consultation so you can get to know me and ask any questions before committing to anything.
• Session Fees: My standard fee is £65 per 50-minute session.
• Session Types: I offer weekly and fortnightly 50-minute sessions in person, online, or a mixture of both.
• Duration: We can discuss what you need. For short-term work, I recommend a minimum of 12 sessions to effectively address your goals.

Accessibility

I am committed to making counselling as accessible as possible for you.

• In-Person Sessions: My office is a two to five-minute walk from London Bridge Station, located at Psychosynthesis Trust, 92–94 Tooley St, London SE1 2TH.
• There are two steps to enter the building, but a ramp is available.
• Rooms and gender-neutral toilets within the building are step-free.
• Online Sessions: I use Zoom, which offers closed captioning and screen reader support.

My Approach: What is Psychosynthesis?

Psychosynthesis is a transpersonal integrative approach that sees you as more than your struggles. It helps you connect with your purpose and find meaning, acknowledging the importance of spiritual experience. It encourages you to welcome all parts of yourself, even the difficult ones, as they hold clues to your deepest needs. This process fosters a strong connection between your mind, body, and feelings, helping you come into your authentic self.
