| MSc Counselling (Distinction) | Abertay University | 2019 |
I trained at Abertay University between 2017 - 2019, gaining a Master's (MSc) with Distinction.I work 'pluralistically', which means that I hold multiple therapeutic perspectives and can integrate these within a therapeutic framework to meet your needs. It's important to me that the therapy offered is tailored to the person rather than the person having to adjust themselves to receive therapy. Different therapeutic approaches may include Humanistic approaches e.g. Person-centred Therapy, Existential Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Multicultural Therapy and other relational therapies; Psychodynamic approaches, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) approaches including Mindfulness, DBT, and ACT, as well as creative approaches. As a British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) and Association for Counselling and Therapy Online (ACTO) accredited counsellor, I work within the ethical framework for counselling professionals to ensure good practice as well as competency working face to face.
