Nikolas Ragiadakos
About the Therapist
I have over 20 years' experience working therapeutically with adults, including many years within specialist NHS services alongside my private practice.
My experience includes working with complex trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, addiction and dual diagnosis, as well as facilitating psychotherapy groups and providing clinical supervision.
I have extensive experience working with LGBTQIA+ clients and understand that sexuality, gender, identity, intimacy and belonging may be important aspects of someone's experience.
At the same time, I don't assume that sexuality or gender is necessarily the reason someone comes to therapy, or the explanation for everything they experience.

My approach is integrative, relational, curious and collaborative. I aim to create a therapeutic relationship in which there is enough presence and trust for us to explore what is happening without assuming beforehand what needs to change.
We may become curious about thoughts, emotions, bodily experiences, relationships, contradictions and what happens between us. Sometimes something needs to be understood or expressed. Sometimes it can be explored in new ways, allowing different perspectives to emerge. This may open possibilities for change, responding differently or taking action.
At other times, it may be equally useful to stay with an experience without rushing towards an answer.
I don't see psychotherapy as telling you who you should become or how you should live. Together, we can become curious about what may need to change and what may simply need to be acknowledged and experienced.
