Gill Ormsby
About the Therapist
I support clients with a range of experiences including anxiety, low mood, relationship worries, shame, and the lasting impact of earlier or complex life experiences. I also have significant experience working with neurodivergent clients.
Some clients come to me for the first time, whereas others arrive having done previous therapeutic work and are looking for greater depth or to build on skills and self-knowledge that they already hold. Either way, we will move at a pace that feels thoughtful and manageable for you while making space for honesty, messiness, laughter - and, if you want it, change.

I offer a warm, affirming space where your experiences are taken seriously, and where you can show up as you are. My approach is relational and integrative, and informed by existential therapy.
Many clients choose to work with me longer-term; most have been with me for a year or more. I currently have space for a small number of new clients.
I have specific clinical and academic experience in working with trans and gender-diverse people. My Master’s research explored how therapists can work thoughtfully and ethically with gender in the therapy room, and this continues to inform my practice. My work is explicitly anti-conversion therapy for both gender and sexuality, and I deeply respect and trust my clients’ varied experiences of the world and themselves. I have also contributed to research with GIRES (Gender Identity Research and Education Society), supporting their development of gender research within the therapeutic world and beyond. I currently work with trans or other gender-diverse clients, as well as those who love them.
