About the Therapist
Everyone copes with difficult feelings and life situations in their own way. But there are times when we feel stuck or overwhelmed, and strategies that once helped no longer seem effective. This might follow the loss of a relationship, a life transition, or even being deeply affected by something that seems small or insignificant.
Psychodynamic psychotherapy is based on the understanding that much of our emotional distress is influenced by unconscious processes—patterns and beliefs formed early in life that continue to shape our thoughts, feelings, and behaviours without us realising. These early experiences, especially in key relationships, lay the foundation for how we relate to ourselves and others.
In therapy, we work together to explore these underlying influences, helping you find the words for what may be troubling you. Through this process, you will gain greater self-awareness and clarity in your personal, creative, and professional life.
I have a particular interest and experience in working with anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, trauma, and questions around belonging, sexuality and gender, including LGBTQ+ experiences.
I work in English and Arabic.
