About the Therapist
Millennial. The one family members call up when the tech stops working. I’m fascinated by relationships and the decisions we make influenced by them. I am also polyamorous and have helped run a monthly discussion group for polyamory in Birmingham.
I’ve made my fair share of mistakes along the way in non-monogamy. I’ve tried to rush from the dating phase into a new relationship; I’ve caused upset by not properly communicating my intimacy needs; I’ve let envy sour the quality of time I’ve spent with a partner because they seemed to develop new connections so easily.
These personal experiences, the local community I've helped foster and my work with non-monogamous clients mean you'll be supported by a counsellor who gets it. You won't need to explain to me what a metamour is or feel judged for doing or wanting to do relationships differently.

Non-monogamy can be complex. Relationship counselling helps you slow down and figure out the messy bits.
My approach combines Narrative and Solution Focused therapy. In practice, this means we'll explore what's getting in the way of your preferred future, examine the stories you're telling yourself about the situation, and discover the resources & strengths you already have or can develop to create change.
I am kink-aware, LGBTQ+ affirming and I welcome all relationship structures. I’m also a Black man, so I’m sensitive to the experience of being an ethnic minority in non-monogamous spaces that are predominantly white. I'm aware of how cultural context and representation matter, and while I won’t always get it right I aim to be genuinely inclusive of where you're coming from. I meet complexity with curiosity rather than judgment.
I provide online sessions Monday/Tuesday evening, and in-person sessions on Saturday morning/afternoon.
