About the therapist:

I'm a Person-Centred and Existentialist Humanistic Therapist, borrowing from other modalities when appropriate. My clients come from a wide spectrum of ages and backgrounds because I specialise in Otherness, the alienating experience of feeling radically different to everyone else around us. Being an Other can happen to anyone, and it's often traumatic.

I'm trained and experienced in helping young people (13+) and adults who are struggling with their mental health, and in gently assisting them in their search for the roots of those feelings. I work closely with LGBTQ+ folk, and with those who are and/or love neurodivergent people (ASD, ADHD, AuDHD, etc). I'm also an experienced School Counsellor, a role I greatly enjoy. I'm trauma-informed, anti-oppressive and culturally attuned.

l have lived internationally for most of my life. Learning to adapt to different cultural standards from a young age helped me realise that we're all shaped not only by what happens to us, but also by the social frames that exist around us such as culture, race, religion, class, sexuality and gender identity.

Experience and approach:

I love the powerful transformation that therapy allows, both as a client and as a therapist. Having an opportunity to be open and honest, confidentially and from within a safe relationship, is key in learning to understand, love and ultimately accept who we are. Once we're in a place of acceptance, we can plan how to work towards becoming who we want to be.
