About the Therapist
My experience in queer, kink and non-monogamous communities has taught me that each person may have a different way of processing and managing the more difficult aspects of our lives, and I want to give you that space to explore your options and work through those underlying struggles. I am a person-centred counsellor who primarily works with members of the LGBTQ+ community. While mental health issues can be a huge barrier for anyone, for LGBTQ+ people these issues can be magnified. Often LGBTQ+ folks struggle to feel understood, to feel heard, and can suffer social isolation as a result. Coming out, again and again, to ourselves, our friends, our partners all while finding one’s true sense of self, can be a lifelong mission. My outlook on counselling is based on compassion and honesty, and I work to foster an environment where collaboration and discourse are encouraged, working with you to get the best outcomes.

I work in an integrative, person-centred way. I use many techniques from ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) and CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), whilst also using traditional talk therapy. I believe you are the most knowledgeable person about your own life, but I can help shine a light on some aspects, or walk you through different perspectives, that might be beneficial. Many people have a general dissatisfaction with life, and they might know why, but they might not. It can feel like looking at a big, tangled ball of string, and pulling on any of the threads can be overwhelming. That’s where counselling can help. I can provide you with the space, the care, and the knowledge to look at these issues individually.

£70 for 55 minutes for individual clients £110 for 60 minutes for partners (2 people) I understand that choosing the right counsellor can be difficult, so it’s important to make sure you feel comfortable and like we would work well together. That’s why, if you decide we’re not a good fit, you don’t have to pay for the first session. I only charge for an initial consultation session if you decide to continue therapy with me.
