Aine O Donoghue
About the Therapist
I am a fully qualified person-centred counsellor working with adults, offering a warm, supportive and confidential space where you can talk freely about whatever is on your mind. My approach is humanistic and non-directive, meaning our sessions are led by you, at your pace, with care, compassion and without judgement.
Wherever you are in your journey, we will work together to help you explore your experiences, make sense of what you’re feeling, and develop a deeper understanding of yourself.
I have a strong commitment to diversity and inclusivity and am an LGBTQIA+ affirming counsellor. I offer a space where your identity is respected, valued and fully accepted, allowing you to feel safe, heard, and supported to be your authentic self.
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), fully insured, and GDPR compliant, so you can feel confident that you are working with a professional who values ethical, safe and confidential practice.
Taking the first step towards counselling can feel daunting, but you don’t have to do it alone. If you’re considering counselling and would like to know more, I welcome you to get in touch.

I will offer you a warm therapeutic space where you can explore anything you would like to.
Together we can shine a light on parts of your life, in a safe, non-judgmental and gentle environment, to help you gain a deeper understanding of your life experiences.
Our initial session lasts 50 minutes and is a gentle starting point for us to begin getting to know each other. There’s no pressure or obligation to continue afterwards, the choice is entirely yours. This first session is a chance to see how we feel working together and whether counselling with me feels like the right fit for you. I’ll ask some questions and take a few details to help us begin our work together in a way that feels safe and supportive.
If you decide to continue, we’ll arrange a mutually convenient time for ongoing sessions. These will also be 50 minutes long and can take place weekly or fortnightly, depending on what works best for you.
I see clients during the weekdays and some evenings during the week.Â
At the moment I have availability for online sessions and in-person counselling sessions in Truro, Cornwall.Â
