About the Therapist
I am an accredited UKCP psychodynamic psychotherapist, having completed four years of counselling and psychotherapy training. I have a wide range of clinical experience in community organisations, the criminal justice system, university counselling services and private practice. Prior to training as a psychotherapist I worked in the education and charity sectors, including roles in domestic abuse support/advocacy and adoption services. My work with diverse client groups has given me experience of a broad range of issues such as anxiety/depression, grief, intersecting aspects of identity, trauma and self-esteem

I completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychodynamic Psychotherapeutic Counselling at the University of Brighton, and an MSc in Psychotherapy also at the University of Brighton. I am registered and fully accredited with the UKCP - please see link to my profile page.

As a psychodynamic practitioner, I am interested in how early experiences and attachments may influence our patterns of relating as adults. As a starting point for change and growth I offer a collaborative and non-judgemental space in which you are free to talk about any aspect of your life which is feeling difficult. The therapeutic relationship is an opportunity to think together about how the past and present may be linked, and how habitual ways of relating might be re-framed or adapted in order to meet your needs more effectively.
I am an intersectional feminist and committed to working inclusively and sensitively with intersecting aspects of identity, without making assumptions about individual experiences of oppression/inequality. As a member of and advocate for the LGBTQIA+ community, I am strongly opposed to conversion therapy in any form.
