I qualified as a counsellor in 2011/12 with a Higher Professional Diploma in Counselling at LC&CTA. Experience and approach:

The uniqueness of individuals and the dynamics they are a part of require a flexibility of approach in therapy. I work from a person-centred and existential baseline in the main, however, within the work I will also draw on influences like parts work and internal family systems approaches, attending to the body and polyvagal theories, relational and systemic theory and attachment. Much of these ideas are common across the different therapeutic modalities and will be utilised to a greater or lesser degree depending on what clients want from therapy.
