I qualified as a counsellor with a Higher Professional Diploma in Counselling in 2012, having done some prize winning research on depression, presented at the BACP Conference. I also did a Post Graduate Certificate in Gender Sexuality and Culture, to further enhance my interest in Gender. I volunteered as a counsellor for over eight years with different organisations including London Friend, an LGBTIQ+ and addictions charity, The Women and Girls Network, the London Lesbian and Gay Switchboard, Step Forward, a young people's organisation and The Place2Be, a play based project in schools . I also obtained a diploma in clinical supervision at the awareness centre in 2022. https://www.baydeveentherapy.com https://www.queeringpsychotherapy.com Â

I have been in private practice for twelve years and work online using zoom. Over time my work has increasingly become focused on how to navigate oppression and celebrating our many intersecting parts of self whilst also supporting our sense of otherness. I am dyslexic and work with many neurodivergent queers actively questioning the pathology paradigm that would seek to see us as 'disordered'. In fact we are all trying to balance the gifts and challenges we have in a violent world. My influences are philosophy, queer theory, history, neuroscience, nature, poetry, feminism, crip theory and spirituality in all its forms.
