I am a qualified integrative counsellor, but I’m heavily rooted in person-centred counselling. I can integrate various concepts if they are best suited to your needs, such as CBT, but strongly believe that our relationship is at the heart of our work. It’s important that we are a good fit, like any other relationship, for you to feel safe, heard and understood. I understanding that the vulnerability of counselling can be daunting and uncomfortable. Therefore, by building trust and security in our relationship, for it to feel safe enough to be vulnerable is important to me. It’s your space and I want you to feel you can get what you need from it.

Experience and approach:

In life it is common to wear various marks in order to feel accepted. However, you may find these are not true to yourself, and therefore are perhaps causing you distress? My intention is to build trust and security in our relationship, so that when you feel safe enough, your outer mask can slowly begin to slip, and you can begin exploring your true self. With that can come acceptance and liberation to live, grow, and develop as the true you. I have two years experience working as a counsellor for a Bristol based LGBTQ+ agency, where I have worked with a verity of struggles and backgrounds. I have also worked on a Bristol based crisis line, offering support and comfort to those in times of mental health crisis.
