Becky Stone
About the Therapist
Hi, my name is Becky Stone. I’m a qualified psychotherapist, clinical supervisor, and Eating Disorder specialist dedicated to serving the LGBTQ+ community, particularly those who are transgender and gender diverse. I recognise the immense courage and vulnerability it takes to seek therapy, especially when dealing with disordered eating such as bulimia, anorexia, and binge eating. Finding the right Eating Disorder therapy, especially within the LGBTQ+ community, is incredibly challenging. It is crucial to work with a therapist who understands the unique factors contributing to eating disorders in this group. Many transgender and gender-diverse, individuals find it difficult to engage with traditional Eating Disorder systems, which often fail to address their specific needs. I have been qualified in working with Eating Disorders for the last four years. Each individual is unique, and a one-size-fits-all approach does not work for recovery. I listen to the needs of my clients and adapt small, achievable goals to help them fulfil a safe recovery. I believe that every failure holds a treasure; by examining past experiences, we can develop new patterns and beliefs to overcome the Eating Disorder. https://counsellorwhocares.selectandbook.com/
