Following 4 years of study, training and extensive experience working with Mental Health difficulties, Substance Misuse and Families in Crisis in the community, I qualified as a Counsellor in 2004 and continued work in both the public and private sectors until 2012. Following my completion of an MSc in Mental Health in 2010 and further studies including a Post Grad Diploma in Clinical Supervision, the opportunity occurred for me to move into full-time professional practice. I then accessed training in EMDR, which was eye-opening it its effectiveness in working with a wide variety of mental health difficulties, and have since continued in my EMDR professional development has leading to my qualification as an EMDR Consultant Practitioner and Clinical Supervisor.

Experience and approach:

I have extensive experience in working with a wide variety of mental health difficulties and work with the individual as the person who knows what they need from the therapy. My approach is Integrated and is developed from Gestalt, CBT and now, primarily, EMDR is presenting a psychological and neurological treatment of the presenting difficulties to help resolve the suffering such difficulties cause to the best of my abilities, skills and knowledge.
