Ms Carina Badger
About the Therapist
Hello, I’m Carina (she/her). I’m a BACP registered counsellor and UKCP accredited psychotherapist working in Chorlton and Didsbury, Manchester - individuals and group therapy.
Interested in group therapy? I plan to start the next group in September 2026. Get in touch for more details.
If you’d like to understand yourself better, make a change, feel more at ease with yourself or get support during a challenging period, I can help. My aim always is to be curious, human, professional and compassionate.
I’m a UKCP psychotherapist. I work with a relational lens aiming to create a space of warmth, shared responsibility, and profound respect.
Life is not lived in a vacuum. The ways we feel, relate, and suffer are deeply entwined with the world around us. I provide a therapeutic space that honors both your internal world – your dreams, patterns, and inner life – and the external contexts of identity, power, and systemic inequality that shape your experience.
Social Justice Lens: I recognise that class, economic deprivation, and systemic oppression aren’t just “politics” – they are psychological realities.
Inclusivity & GSRD: I have extensive experience working with LGBTQ+ and GSRD (Gender, Sexual, and Relationship Diverse) communities.
I offer mainly long-term working, but do sometimes work on a short-term basis.
I prefer to work with clients on a face-to-face weekly basis wherever possible, but I appreciate that this may be challenging with your various commitments. If you would like to work with me and don't think a weekly approach would work for you, get in touch and we can see if we can find an arrangement that might work.
