About the Therapist
Hi there, I'm Carole and I use they/them pronouns. I am an integrative coaching psychologist and I'd like to welcome you to my Pink Therapy Directory listing.
I work with clients from all walks of life who are struggling with strong emotions. These may be feelings of:
- Anxiety
- Anger
- Depression
- Fear
- Stress
- Overwhelm
- Jealousy
- Suicide being their only way out
- Or indeed any other strong, intense feeling that causes them issues.
My clients sometimes feel emotionally numb and cut off from the world. Through our work together, they gain insight into why they’re experiencing these strong emotions and what they can do differently to manage them better.
When clients aren’t approaching me specifically about emotions, they often come to me with any number of the following:
- Gender dysphoria
- Trouble handling other people’s reactions to their gender (whether transgender or non-binary)
- Conflict within relationships, including friends and family members
- Difficulties directly related to non-monogamous relationship structures
- Not knowing who they are as a person
- Having a coping mechanism, like self harm, that they want to stop but need help in doing so
- And having difficulty in maintaining positive, healthy habits.
I love focusing on working with people from the LGBTQ, polyamorous, ethically non-monogamous (ENM) and BDSM / kink communities. These are all still a mystery to many, ignored by plenty and expected to just fit into and blend into the same structures and services provided for the straight, cisgender, monogamous and vanilla majority. A lot of the time people from these communities don’t need “special” or “different” support but they do need the services they are accessing to be inclusive and aware of relevant issues. That's where people like me come in. Being a part of these communities myself helps me to be able to guarantee a supportive and accepting service to you regardless of how you identify or structure your life.

I am a coaching psychologist who uses a relational approach and is heavily influenced by positive psychology. In real terms this means that I appreciate the importance of people's strengths, values and feelings like happiness, satisfaction and joy. I may work with clients on bringing out more of their strengths if there's a tendency to dismiss or overlook them as well as encouraging clients in utilising their strengths when working on difficulties. The relationship with my clients is key to the process. I help people not just overcome their obstacles but also empower them in making their life more fulfilling, satisfying and happy.
