About the Therapist
My journey into counselling was inspired by my own experience as a client. I understand the apprehension that can come with seeking support. Central to my approach is the cultivation of a meaningful relationship between us. I believe we as human beings thrive when we feel understood and connected to. Through this relationship we can unfold and explore our full potential. We all get stuck sometimes and I believe counselling helps us get unstuck and live a value-rich life.Â
I offer a warm, confidential and affirming approach that welcomes individuals of all ages, genders, sexualities, races, and backgrounds. I am committed to providing compassionate trauma informed care. I believe that therapy is fundamentally about the client. We will collaborate to understand your experiences from multiple dimensions and work with them through a pathway of stabilization, processing and the integration of new tools and concepts.
As a fully qualified counsellor I am confident to work effectively with a wide spectrum of situations, problems or issues. There are a number of approaches and models I draw on to help find what is most effective for you. Sessions typically take place weekly or bi-weekly. It is possible to work in the short-term, towards a focussed goal (maybe 4-6 sessions) or in the longer-term with ongoing support (1 year+).

As a fully qualified and registered member of the BACP I have practiced for a number of years counselling people of all ages.
In private practice I have worked with a wide variety of clients with a particular focus on supporting GSRD populations and those adjacent which may include parents and partners of trans people. Alongside my private practice, I work online with an affirming and sex positive agency supporting adult clients globally with a wide range of goals, as well as a London based LGBTQ+ charity supporting young people who identify as LGBTQ+. I am currently studying a Level 6 Post-Qualifying Diploma in Gender, Sex and Relationship Diversity Therapy (2024-2025).
Previously I have worked with a charity in Peterborough that supports families with children that have additional needs, disabilities and life-limiting conditions. I have provided ongoing support to people in difficult circumstances, deal with diagnosis and acceptance of neurodivergence, in particular ADHD, deal with loss, relationship difficulties, shame, isolation, chronic illness, health conditions and more.
I have worked within colleges helping young people manage issues such as anxiety, stress, anger problems, depression, low self-esteem, minority stress, trans identities, gender nonconformity, bereavement, family issues, sexual abuse, loneliness, general worries, eating disorders, self-harm, unhelpful coping strategies among many others.
