Allow me to introduce myself: I am an adoptive father, a son, a husband, a brother, a good friend, a counsellor and psychotherapist. People experience difficulties in all sorts of areas in their lives. These might be personal relationships, situations at work, problems at home, anxiety, low mood, ADHD, ASD, feeling stuck… You name it – I am sure you have yours! If these difficulties are getting on top of you or making you unhappy, it may be helpful to see a therapist. We see a therapist not because we are ‘crazy’, or because there is something wrong with us.
Hi, I’m Nikki (She/They). I am a Clinical Psychologist and EMDR therapist who aims to provide a non-judgmental, curious and collaborative space. I draw upon a range of therapeutic models such as compassion focused therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy as well as cognitive behavioural therapy too. I offer face to face sessions in Brighton (BN2) and also online working. I am passionate about working alongside people to enable them to achieve meaningful, long-lasting change by using evidence-based psychological therapy. I have experience working with a large range of mental health difficulties over the last 10 years; both within the NHS
I’m a trans-female who is a qualified counsellor and offering online sessions to clients from within the UK. My motives to become a counsellor stem from my own gender identity & the idea that I want to help others who are going through the same process of transitioning. Previously I was Global Gender Identity Officer for a large bank’s Rainbow Network and have Co-Founded a peer to peer transgender support group.

Feeling a bit wobbly? Therapy can help! Are you feeling scared, stuck, confused, lonely, frustrated, numb, tearful or lost? Perhaps you can’t really identify how you are feeling, but just know something isn’t right or is holding you back? Are you dealing with a big transition, loss, or change? Or do you simply wish for a space where you can be truly seen and heard? Maybe it’s a mix of all of the above? I am here to help!
I’m a queer therapist offering EMDR and relational therapy for LGBTQIA+, trans and non-binary, and neurodivergent clients living with complex trauma, dissociation, identity pain, and burnout. Clients often come to me feeling stuck in patterns that don’t make sense—repeating relationships, sensory overload, deep shame, or frozen grief. Some know they have trauma. Others just know something isn’t working. Many are navigating ADHD, autism, queerness, chronic anxiety, or being misdiagnosed for years. EMDR allows us to work with your nervous system, not just your thoughts. We follow the story your body holds — slowly, gently, and with consent.
I currently have online spaces available, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday daytimes. I am currently offering online and telephone therapy. Please feel free to get in touch if you wanted to discuss what working together might look or feel like. I offer a free 30 minute consultation and I’d be happy to answer any questions you might have.
