I am an enthusiastic bilingual Clinical Psychologist, with more than 18 years’ experience providing effective therapy in English and Spanish, for adults, children, and adolescents. I finished my training as a Clinical Psychologist in 2010 with the highest honour of my class at “Hospital Centro de Salud Mental del Este El Peñón” (Mental health centre Hospital “El Peñón”) in Caracas, Venezuela, where I was invited to join the group of professors. For 3 years I tough psychotherapy and supervised psychologists who were training as a clinical psychologist and medical doctors who were training as a psychiatrist.

I understand this may be a difficult time for you, and you may be feeling lost, or confused, or stuck, but sometimes all it takes is to start talking to someone so you can feel the weight of the burden begin to ease. I realise it’s a scary thing to do, reaching out and talking to someone you don’t know, but rest assured, everything you bring to the counselling sessions is treated in the strictest confidence.

In therapy, I will invite you to focus on your immediate experience to increase your awareness of where you are at, here with me, and to widen your choices going forward. I will encourage you to share what you experience as patterns from the past and, rather than interpreting, I will work with you to make sense of how things are now. I strive towards an anti-oppressive practice, and sometimes make mistakes.

I offer in person and online counselling sessions in Cambridge around a wide range of issues. You may have a specific issue that you wish to work with, or perhaps you have a general sense of wanting to give yourself a safe space to explore finding a deeper sense of ease and authenticity in your life.
