I’m a psychotherapist and counsellor with a particular interest in working with Gender, Sex and Relationship Diversities (GSRD) clients, offering face to face sessions in Islington London and online therapy worldwide. Finding the right therapist can be a confusing and frustrating experience and may take some time to find the right ‘fit’, particularly for LGBTQI+ individuals who might have had disappointing or even harmful prior experiences of therapy. I suggest that you aim to meet with several therapists before you make a decision.

I am Chris, a UKCP counsellor and psychotherapist living and working with the dynamic and multicultural communities of East London. I offer an affirming and collaborative space for individuals, couples, polycules and families of all genders, sexualities, backgrounds, ages, abilities and neurotypes. I value intersectional context as a key part of therapy and believe in a collaborative approach – where, together, we can identify repetitive, often painful patterns, and how they might be understood, changed, or let go. As a supervisor-in-training, I am deepening my practice to support other practitioners in their own personal and professional journeys.

My personal approach is integrative, which means that I draw from a number of counselling models and techniques, including psychodynamic, existential and humanistic. My therapeutic stance is adaptable to your individual needs and I offer both short and longer term work. I am an experienced and qualified BACP registered counsellor and psychotherapist. I have a Psychology (BA) degree and have undertaken comprehensive training and gained my diploma (PgDip) and Masters (MA) in Counselling and Psychotherapy from Regent’s University London.

As I’m integratively trained, I create bespoke therapeutic approaches for each individual client, with their collaboration. This world is often overwhelming, and I support clients in developing a space to slow down and breathe. As for me, I’m originally Australian but have been in London for 21 years now so my accent is quite odd, I’m kind, generous, really quite funny and I swear more than I probably should.

I’m an integrative psychotherapist and Registered Relationship Therapist working with individuals and couples across London. I specialise in relationships that don’t fit conventional moulds; LGBTQ+ partnerships, ethically non-monogamous and polyamorous relationships, and people navigating sexual identity, desire and intimacy. My practice is sex-positive and kink-aware. I understand minority stress, the weight of living outside the mainstream, and what it means to want a therapist who genuinely gets it rather than one who merely tolerates it. My approach is collaborative. I work relationally with clients towards creating long lasting changes and provide a space for the client to explore personal and relational concerns in a secure and non-judgemental environment.  Together, we will investigate current challenges or deep-seated issues which may present as a difficulty in identifying and expressing emotions, feelings of being estranged from needs, or a sense of being stuck. We will work towards new experiences in behaviour, thoughts and emotions.
