Charlie Wood
About the Therapist
I have extensive experience supporting people with a wide range of difficulties, including trauma, anxiety, depression, OCD, ADHD, abuse, relationship difficulties, work-related stress, burnout, disability, women’s health concerns including PMDD and PCOS, existential crises, and experiences often described as a “dark night of the soul.”
I have a particular interest in working with LGBTQIA+ clients and have experience supporting people exploring sexuality, sexual wellbeing, gender and identity, consensual non-monogamy and polyamorous relationships. I understand that many LGBTQIA+ people have experienced misunderstanding, stigma or discrimination, and I strive to provide an affirming therapeutic relationship where you can feel seen, respected and accepted exactly as you are.
Outside of my clinical work, I have a passion for holistic health and spiritual wellbeing. If these areas are meaningful to you, I’m happy to thoughtfully integrate them into our work, always at your pace and only if they feel relevant to your therapeutic journey.

Drawing primarily on person-centred, relational and psychodynamic approaches. While these theories inform my work, I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Every client is unique, so our sessions are tailored to your individual needs, using clear, straightforward language rather than psychological jargon. Alongside compassion and empathy, I offer gentle challenge where it feels helpful, supporting meaningful and lasting change.
