Charlotte Turner-Smith
About the Therapist
I have been working in clinical, therapeutic settings since 2018. I spent two years working in the NHS Well-being services. I specialised in running support groups for those struggling with addictions; with a focus on substance abuse, hoarding and gambling. I use this experience, alongside my empathy, and three years working as a one-on-one practitioner, to support resilience and growth in my clients. I volunteered with Stonewall on their helpline for two and a half years; this is something that inspired me to train as a therapist. Everyone is welcome in my practice, however, I do also offer limited, low-cost spaces for supporting those in the LGBT+ and GSRD communities.

I am a qualified Level 6 Gestalt Psychotherapeutic Counsellor. I abide by the code of ethics of Metanoia Institute, where I trained, and the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), of which I am an Individual member. Gestalt Psychotherapy is a humanistic, relational talking therapy; we work together to explore all, and sometimes difficult, emotions, and to help develop a deeper level of self-awareness and self-compassion.
