Clare Pearl online
About the Therapist
Hello, my name is Clare and I have many years experience providing skilled psychotherapy online.
As a qualified psychotherapist my practice focuses on giving attention to the body and nervous system as well as talking about your issues. We will learn to tune into and interpret the signals the body gives us, and develop skills to support healing and self-awareness. My approach is non-judgemental and compassionate. We will seek to understand and release self-limiting beliefs and behaviour patterns that are often deeply held and outside of our awareness.
My background
Before training in psychotherapy, I worked as an artist and filmmaker, working for both the private and public sector, and teaching filmmaking to diverse communities through Community Arts Organisations. I continue to work as an artist and comic book creator and bring a creative approach to the therapeutic work, encouraging visualisation and the use of metaphorical language and story telling.
Community involvement
I volunteer with the Lesbian Immigration Support Group (lisg.uk), a charity providing practical and social support to lesbian and bisexual refugee and asylum-seeking women in Greater Manchester. This work reflects my commitment to understanding the complex challenges we face when navigating displacement and belonging.

Experience and approach
Counselling provides a confidential space where you can speak freely about whatever you want to bring. Whether you're facing specific challenges, feeling overwhelmed by emotion, or you need time to process what has happened in your life, counselling will help you find clarity and insight, and build and restore resilience and confidence in yourself.
A commitment to inclusivity
I bring an ongoing commitment to understanding how our backgrounds, identities, and lived experiences shape how we see the world and how the world sees us. I work to develop my awareness of how diversity and systemic inequalities influence our outlook and expectations. I have completed Layla Saad’s ‘Me and White Supremacy’ 'How to Recognise Your Privilege, Combat Racism and Change the World’ work book with a group and I bring a strong sense of responsibility to continue developing my understanding of how privilege and rank affect our lives. My aim is to create a respectful, welcoming environment where the complexity of our experience is welcomed.
